powermeter24.de: Why I can’t recommend the shop

No recommendation for powermeter24.de. I was continuously asked to wait a bit longer whereas the delivery time became excessive. A serious shop behaves differently.

I love technical gimmiks also with my road bike. That’s why I ordered the new Garmin Vector 3 power meter pedals at powermeter24 at the end of March 2018. The delivery time was shown with 10 to 20 days. I got a very good prize: The already low price of 949 euros was reduced by a discount campaign by 15 percent to 806 euros. Since I had previously purchased from powermeter24, I paid in advance and secured me a furhter percent discount. The total price amounted to 798.58 euros.

But then the waiting began. By end of May, the 20 days delivery time had long been reached. I asked for the first time. I asked another time at the end of July. At the end of September I was told it would be delivered soon. At the end of November I gave up. I canceled the pedals.

Unbeatable price

The price of 800 euros I’ve not seen anywhere else. But what helps a fantastic price if the delivery does’t take place? It is possible that Garmin did not properly deliver to powermeter24.de. But during all those months, the shop offered repeatedly the same 15-percent discount for Garmin. And always with the same delivery time of 10 to 20 days. That’s strange.

It’s done for me

So the pedals were offered and delivered throughout the year? Well, not to me. At least I got my money back without problems. But because of strange behavior I will not buy again at the shop powermeter24.de.

And I found the pedals in the meantime almost at the same price. No need for doubtful shops.
