A new pair of winter gloves has been added to my battery of winter gloves: The Endura FS260-Pro Neopren winter gloves. Also these gloves are not yet the final answer for having warm hands on road bike in winter season. But they are indeed one of the best solutions I found so far.
The first encounter
The feeling of the gloves in the store was outstanding. Tight fitting but cosy, soft and pleasant. And an immediate feeling of warmth started. I had to have the gloves and test them.
The testing
During my next cycle tour at about four degrees I was testing the new gloves. The feeling of warmth was there. But there came also very quick a feeling of moisture in the glove. Nevertheless, the hands stayed warm. The perceived humidity did not increase during the two-hour tour. But it also didn’t increase. The wearing comfort is outstanding. Especially in comparison with all my other cycling winter gloves. The search for warm hands in road cycling has found a preliminary answer.
The critic
But one point bothered me: I did not have a chance to use my touchscreen bike computer with the gloves. Why isn’t there at least on the index finger a coating that allows to use the touchscreen? (Or, why can’t I use my GPS bike computer without the touch screen?)
