We need team jerseys for our participation in the Tour Transalp 2025!
The 2025 season has begun. The highlight of the season will be the Tour Transalp from June 15 to 21. After our successful participation in 2024, Jörg and I will be competing again in 2025 as team “Pedal Pals”. But in 2025 we will have our own team jerseys.
Online Design Tools
First I had to search the Internet for ways to design our own team jersey. I had a surprising number of hits. I found a range of providers who are specialized in designing textiles or even sportswear. But I also found some of the well known cycling brands that offered customization of their cycling clothing. In my random selection, I liked best the design tool from Castelli. The easy-to-use interface offered enough design options to implement own ideas. However, the whole thing is not cheap.
Despite the simple editor it took me some days until my design was finally finished. The basic design was found quickly. But the details dragged on, as is always the case with details.
I also had to familiarize myself with a new type of file. Castelli requires logos as svg files. These are vector files that guarantee a sharp display, regardless of the image size. So it made sense but cost me some additional work to handle it.
The resulting team jerseys
We decided to wear two different team jerseys at the Tour Transalp 2025: one in Castelli red and one with a pattern in turquoise and blue.
I really like both of them and I’m looking forward to holding the result in my hands. But I’ll have to be patient. Castelli quotes a delivery time of up to eight weeks for the self-designed shirts.
